Overview

Elysia is the religious center of Avalonia's Murian (human) population. Many Travelers (Earth humans) have also adopted the Church of Ceros as their belief system. Very few of the Llenan follow the Church of Ceros although they respect the belief systems of others.

History

For many thousands of years, the village of Elysia included a modest Temple of Ceros that was likely founded when Aereth's indigenous human population spread to Avalonia from Vaalbara. After the Miracle of Jeshan, prior to the Unification of Brydd, the Temple of Elysia was expanded to include the artesian well that became known as the Spring of Jeshan.

In return for being granted enough lands to create the city-state of Elysia (think Vatican City), the Cardinal commanded the Templars join with Talorc Arilan in defeating the other four Dutchies and uniting the Dutchies of Brydd into the Kingdom of Brydd.
