Chronicles of
Aereth
Claen Gael

Playable: Yes

Basic Information

Etymology of Name

Claen Gael is the Llenarian (Old Tongue) name which means Clans of the Storms, Storm Clan, Clans of the Winds. In the Common or Trader’s Tongue of Aereth, it is simply Clan Gale. It likely harkens back to the fact that the Drakeri still follow the Old Gods, including the Four Winds (Anemoi), the intermediaries between their pantheon of gods, the Tuatha dé Danann, and the peoples of Aereth.

Note: For the Drakeri, “claen or clan” can mean either lands or familial groups. So Claen Gael can also mean Land of Storms, Land of Winds, or even just Homeland.
