• Both parents killed when a sudden storm capsized their fishing boat. Fiona was at home with a caregiver.
• Maternal Uncle, Micheil MacLeòid, became her guardian. Dr. Micheil MacLeòid was an archaeologist/anthropologist of some renown, used to tramping around the world. It would be from him that Fiona learned basic skills of how to survive in the wild.

1915 - 1929 (a. 16)

• Uncle Micheil escorts Fiona home to Scotland where she is enrolled in an elite boarding school so she can finish her education in a formal setting.

1929 - 1931 (a. 18)

• Graduates St. Catherine's and, with her uncle's blessing and armed with a ton of references from the school and her uncle's respected colleagues, Fiona applies to the St. Andrews' University School of Medicine.

1931 - 1937 (a. 24)

• Graduates medical school and is hired by the university's training hospital where she specializes in emergency medicine and surgery.

1938 (a. 25)

• Uncle Micheil takes a professorship at St. Andrews and purchases a modest estate in Edinburgh.
• Fiona meets a young RAF lieutenant, Niall McClain, who comes into her ER with a broken ankle from a riding accident. They hit it off and begin dating.

September 1, 1939 (a. 26)

• World War II begins.
• Fiona and Niall are married.
• Fiona's beloved uncle, Micheil MacLeòid, dies of a heart condition. He leaves everything to Fi.

• Fiona volunteers for the war effort and is gratefully accepted. As an ER doctor, her skills are a valuable asset in the frontline triage centers.
• 1944: Niall's plane is shot down and he is killed.

• Fiona goes on holiday back to the Orkney Islands to close on the sale of the family cottage. While there, she goes on a hike. Noticing a circle of standing stones she had never seen before she goes to explore. As she enters the circle, she becomes dizzy and disoriented and passes out only to awaken...

1248 (a. 33)

• Fiona regains consciousness in what she first believes is the same standing stone circle she was exploring in Scotland. One dazed look at the sky tells her differently as overhead blazes a massive object surrounded by rings. It reminds her of the descriptions of Saturn that she has read about.
• From there it is one nightmare even after another as she is chased from the stone circle into the dense forest by a horde of tiny dragon-like creatures...angry, vicious, tiny dragon-like creatures. She runs into a wide, open meadow and is trapped in a rockfall by the nasty little demonic things.
• Fiona's plight seems desperate and bound to end badly when a roar from the sky scatters the dragon-like things as, much to her shock, a real dragon lands in the meadow and breathes out a brief gout of fire that roasts the remaining creatures. A man leaps from the dragon's back, asking her questions in an odd language that sounds a bit like a blend of Welsh and Scottish Gaelic but is totally unintelligible to her. He switches languages and to her amazement, it's English.
• As the man, Breccan, introduces himself, Fiona reaches for his hand only to draw it back with a scream of pain. Seconds later, she is once again unconscious.

1250 (a. 35)

• Long story short, Fiona was bitten and envenomated by one of the wyverns that had not been killed. She was taken back to Ironreaches Siege and nursed back to health at Ironreaches Citadel. With the exception of attending some training in Aereth technology and medicine at the Guild of Airemidd in Tír Ceilte, she has made Ironreaches Siege her home. She is valued member of their Medical Corps and, while she dislikes flying, she is often transported to where her skills are needed.
