- Description
At 125 years of age, Breccan could pass for a middle-aged or younger human male.
Breccan is of average height for a Drakeri man, well muscled, and average build. His hair is usually kept cut very short and he wears a closely trimmed beard and mustache. Depending on the time of year and how much time he has spent out of doors, his hair may appear lighter or darker than its usual deep reddish-brown. It also has natural lighter blond and coppery streaks in it. Breccan's eyes are an intense deep blue with gray and silver-gray flecks.
A majority of the time, Breccan wears his Morrighan uniform sans the scale mail. The uniforms consist of wyvern hide breeches, tunic, and over the knee boots with heavy Sidan silk undershirts. The scale mail is made of a supple, finely wrought steel, made to blend with the colors of the Morrighan's dragon. In Breccan's case, this is shades of copper and dark gold. When not in uniform, Breccan favors dark colored soft leather breeches, tunics, and tall wyvern-hide boots or supple hunting leathers.
Like most Drakeri, Breccan dislikes being unclean and ill-kempt. If home, he seeks out the bathing pools in his chambers after the day's duty is done.

- Skills & Abilities
Education: Reads, writes, and can do sums.
Language: Llanerian (Old Tongue), Traders' Tongue (English), Vanusk (Vanir)
Music: Breccan actually has a decent singing voice and can play a lyre and lap harp.
Weapons: Excellent with longbow, crossbow, and Morrighan Stinger. Breccan is actually a better archer than he is with bladed weapons. He owns twin butterfly blades and a longsword, but there is little subtlety in his fighting style with them. His fighting style is hard and fast when using blades.
Hand-to-Hand: Skilled at hand-to-hand, better if he has his butterfly blades. He has incorporated the use of the twin blades into his hand-to-hand fight style.
Excellent tactician
- Special Abilities
Skilled dragon rider.
Able to use some of the Drakeri abilities to manipulate fire, create coldfire (light). Like most Drakeri, he was trained from a very early age in how to detect and then shield himself from elements of the Shadow. This is now a part of his nature and when his senses detect the Shadow, the shields slam into place alerting him to the potential danger.

Salt War (March of Salain)
A group of raiders infiltrated the docks at Salt Bay and stole several trading vessels, using them to invade the dragon nests of Bassilith Siege in the Burning Sea and steal dragon eggs. In retaliation, the dragons burned every human ship in the region and scorched the Salt docks and shipyards, laying ruin to everything House Salain had built.
Before the furious dragons and the Drakeri could invade inland and involve more of Brydd in the conflict, An'Danu Kerowyn Trevelyan of Tír Ceilte intervened as a Mediator and established a shaky truce.
Breccan's wife, Aisling, was killed during the conflict when her dragon was brought down by a felldrake.
1238 (a. 113 yrs. old)
Rhagarth and some of the other Ddraig are alerted to a Drakeri that has a particularly strong dragonsong. Breccan and Rhagarth search for this Song of Airsith and finally locate it in a twelve-year-old crofter's daughter. Her clan is also a sept of Clan Windmaster. Breccan makes arrangements to take the girl, Wynn Rhew Gaeaf, back to Windmaster's Bane, his home where she is ensconced with a tutor and a lady's companion.
1242 CE (a. 117 yrs. old)
Breccan escorts Wynn to Ironreaches Siege on her sixteenth name day for induction and orientation to Morrighan training. She excels at her training and eventually impresses a headstrong younger dragon from the Falcoran reaches. She gives him the name Gruudux.
1248 CE (a. 123 yrs. old)
Breccan rescues a Traveler named Fiona Gale from a wyvern attack. She is bitten and envenomated by one of the animals. He brings her back to Ironreaches Citadel where she is nursed back to health. Over time, the last two years, they have become very close friends.
1250 CE (a. 125 yrs. old)
Breccan is a bold and savvy dragonrider. He and Rhagarth are well-known amongst the ranks of the Morrighan, Dragonguard and even amongst a few outsiders. He has, to date, refused further promotions. He is content as Second Marshal where he can remain in the field and be useful to Claen Gael.
5th Moon: Breccan will start the proceedings to formally adopt Wynn.

Breccan's Home
Windmaster's Bane is the castle/estate belonging to Clan Windmaster. It is located on a river island known as a holm in the Luaith an Tàirneanaich (Thunder's Rush) river, the largest and most deadly of the rivers in Claen Gael. The mountain pass that crosses a mighty river gorge is known as A Passage of Clouds.
Windmaster's Bane, or simply The Bane to many, has stood on this holm for thousands of years. It is called Bane as it has been the bane of any that tried to to take it.
Directions to Windmaster's Bane
To reach the estate of Clan Windmaster, one rode north and east from Duskhallow, following the road that laid alongside a fast-flowing tributary of the mighty Luaith an Tàirneanaich or Thunder’s Rush river. The main river originated in the high mountains of the Beaconcarres Peaks, one of the many soaring volcanic mountain ranges of Claen Gael. Over thousands of years the river has cut deeply into the rock but continues winding its way toward the Burning Sea via a series of raging rapids and mighty waterfalls. Eventually, the river curves and the road continues across it via a high, arched dragonstone bridge known as A Passage of Clouds. It earned its name from the mighty waterfall that cascades beneath it and results in an eternal cloak of mist. The howling winds threaten to blow horses and riders off the bridge.
The road continues, once again following the raging torrent of Thunder’s Rush until rounding another curve reveals the site of a massive dragonstone castle that sits on a river island, known as a holm. At one time, the holm was a volcanic peak, but is now long inactive and worn down by the Rush’s persistent waters. An underground river bursts from the deeps and spills from beneath the fused stone of the edifice that seems to have grown up out of the basalt and granite rocks of the holm itself. The road runs on, crossing another dragonstone bridge to eventually bring visitors to the gates of Windmaster’s Bane.
