Offo was the middle child of three brothers and two sisters. His brothers were warriors of renown and won many battles both within the tumultuous realms of Sask and beyond the ill defined borders. He himself, though a skilled strategist, eschewed the dangers of the melee. As the brother's power-base coalesced they increasingly butted heads, and occasionally co-operated with, with an exceptional young warlord named Tancred.

His older brother, Borso, unfortunately died after eating a poisoned prune. His sisters were either married off or died of mysterious illnesses. As his siblings disappeared, his own progeny expanded and he had many sons and daughters took their places. His final 'family tragedy' came when during one fell campaign, he sent his younger brother, Aitard, to charge Tancred's main cavalry force as a 'feint' and then marched the rest of his army off to capture a rich village. Aitard was killed in personal combat by Tancred during the following rout.
